E-Waste Recycling & Paper Shredding Day (East Greenwich)

New England Tech- 1 New England Tech Blvd.  The Rotary Club of East Greenwich is pleased to announce the 6th Annual East Greenwich Electronic-Waste Recycling and Paper Shredding Day, Saturday, April 18th, 9:00 - 12:00noon on the parking lots of New England Institute of Technology - East Greenwich campus. Although the header states "East Greenwich," the morning fundraising event is OPEN to all and any people that want to rid their homes and businesses of electronic-waste and paper PROPERLY without placing these items into the landfills, the waterways or garbage dumpsters throughout Rhode Island. This year's major recipients of the proceeds of this event will be the Varnum House Museum (Preservation Gardens) and the Sargent Rehabilitation Center (The Greenhouse & Garden Program). Any additional donations will be distributed to the many organizations and agencies that the East Greenwich Rotary Club believes in. We are also collecting non-perishable food and canned goods for the hungry to be delivered to the Rhode Island Community Food Bank in Cranston. Finally, a collection of mobility equipment will be received, refurbished by the Shriners and handed-out "free-of-charge" to the needy who can't afford to purchase these items! Please note that Office Recycling Solutions is willing to pick-up any electronic-waste from an individual's home or business from April 13th - April 17th, if not able to bring to the school on April 18th. There will be an agreed upon cost for this service.
