No one knows your residents like you do. Resource Recovery encourages municipalities to implement local programs that help residents prevent waste, reuse materials, recycle right, and dispose of waste properly. When funding is available and approved by our Board of Commissioners, a competitive, matching grant program is open to RI municipalities. Project-based grants are offered in the form of dollar-for-dollar matches, dependent upon the meeting schedule and approval by our Board of Commissioners. Project-based grant applications for the second and final application round of FY20 are due on February 19, 2020, with an available funding pool of $42,612.10. Training-based grants for up to $2,000 per municipality, per fiscal year are also awarded on a rolling basis. Training grant applications to attend the SWANA courses (Recycling Systems and Integrated Solid Waste Management) being held in Seekonk are due on February 28, 2020.
