The Town of Narragansett invites RI residents to the Gansett Days Recycling Event on September 17 from 9 AM to 12 PM. The event will be held at 77 Boston Neck Road. Materials accepted include: paper for shredding (3 box limit), electronics (computers, printers, monitors, TVs, anything with a plug), clothing, textiles and scrap metal (see Narragansett Recycling Website for more information). Woonsocket Recycling Facility  943 River St. Woonsocket The City of Woonsocket, in collaboration with Southwick's Zoo, is holding a "Dual Purpose Collection Event" for Woonsocket residents on Friday, August 12 from 7:00am - 3:15pm and Saturday, August 13 from 8:00am - 12:00pm. They will be collecting: (1) newspaper which will be used by Southwick's Zoo to line enclosures, for animal enrichment, and other projects, and (2) New or used, working fans of all sizes which will be redistributed to those most in need during heat waves.  Note: This is a third-party event.
