The operations that are being relocated include the: Residential Recycling Area (formerly known as the Small Vehicle Area), Small Vehicle Transfer Station (formerly known as the Tip Facility), Mattress Recycling Building and Maintenance Garage. The Town of Smithfield invites residents to attend a free shredding event on Saturday, October 14th from 9:00a.m.-12:00p.m. at Smithfield DPW. The event is for Smithfield residents only. Limit 4 Bankers Boxes, no commercial businesses. The town will also be accepting large rigid plastics (from residents only) during the event.
