No one knows your residents like you do. Resource Recovery encourages municipalities to implement local programs that help residents recycle right, reduce contamination, prevent waste, reuse materials, and dispose of waste properly. When funding is available and approved by our Board of Commissioners, a competitive, matching grant program is open to RI municipalities. Project-based grants are offered in the form of dollar-for-dollar matches, dependent upon the meeting schedule and approval by our Board of Commissioners.
The FY21 grant application for project-based grants is now closed. There was $75,000 of grant funds available in FY21, with grant applications due on July 22, 2020 and February 24, 2021 for tentative Board review in August and March, respectively. Training-based grants for up to $2,000 per municipality, per fiscal year are also awarded on a rolling basis.
