Event Recycling

So, you're ready to take your event to the next level and offer your participants the opportunity to recycle! Great! RIRRC can help you get started, get organized, and will even take the materials back to our recycling facility for you.

Rhode Island Resource Recovery Corporation offers an event recycling program designed to provide local RI communities and organizations with collection assistance for recyclable materials during public events.  RIRRC will supply, deliver and pick up the necessary equipment to collect your event's recyclables. 

Event Recycling Program services are free of charge.  

How to Request Event Recycling Assistance 

All requests for the event recycling program must be scheduled through the RIRRC Recycling Department a minimum of two weeks in advance.  RIRRC staff will discuss with you your event's needs and may visit the event's location to determine what equipment is necessary. We can also assist in training your volunteers or staff on how the material needs to be collected.

Equipment available for events includes: (1) Roll-off Container, (1) Recycling Trailer, (15) 64 Gallon Wheeled Carts, and (30)22-gallon Collection Bins. Please keep in mind that  due to the popularity of this program, at certain times of the year not all of the equipment may be available for your event. As much advance notice as possible is recommended.
