RIRRC Customer and Operations Policies
Below are some short descriptions of the important policies found to the left.
All visitors must check in with our Security Team. Please review the policy and contact us with any questions.
Johnston Resident Permit Policy
Residents of the Town of Johnston may apply at the Town Hall for a household waste disposal permit, allowing twelve free disposals per year - once per month. There is a limit of one permit per household. The limit is one ton per visit and the vehicle delivering the trash has to have a gross vehicle weight of 10,000 lbs or less. A driver’s license is required and the street address on the license has to match the address on the permit.
Materials Acceptance Guidelines
RIRRC does not accept every material for processing. Please review the materials acceptance guidelines, and contact us with any questions.
Ensuring the safety of our employees, customers, and visitors onsite is our top priority. Please read the safety policy carefully to do your part to help us maintain a safe environment.
Wallboard Acceptance Guidelines
Wallboard (drywall, gypsum) is a reusable material that takes up unnecessary space in the landfill when disposed whole. At RIRRC, we preprocess this material for use as part of our daily landfill cover application.
RIRRC has a formal policy governing how we respond to an accident or incident, what we train our employees to do, and what we expect our customers to do. Please review the A/I Policy so you will know how to react if you are involved in an accident or an incident on RIRRC property.
